Chromate Conversion Coatings
larger image
We offer chromate conversion or chemical film coating services for passivation and corrosion protection of aluminum components. In addition to providing corrosion resistance, our chromating services also provide a good base for paint as well as other applications that require adhesion. Ideal for applications that warrant an electrically conductive coating, our chemical film coating is offered in a range of different colors - from clear to gold iridescent.
Though we primarily offer this corrosion protection service for aluminum components, it can be performed on any aluminum alloy, including 6000 and 5000 series sheet alloys. Our chromating services comply with the chemical film Mil-C-5541, Mil-spec standards, and can withstand an ASTM standard salt spray test for 168 hours. Equipped with automated plating systems, we can handle high volume production runs with ease.
All chromate-converted parts undergo extensive quality inspections to ensure conformance with your requisite standards. Our plating facility is also compliant with all state and federal guidelines for maintaining air as well as water quality standards.
